The duet of Jónsson and Kratochvil began as part of Birds Build Nests Underground expanded project known as BBNU Orchestra in 2008. Since that time the duet continues intensive recording sessions with an array of keyboards (acoustic analogue other otherwise), woodwinds, kalimbas and field recordings. This duet’s emphasis is on flowing dynamics bridging ancient folklore with burning edge contemporary music inspirations.
